Over the last 30 years, Linda West has been practicing and providing wellness counseling for people from all walks of life in vast areas of life.  She develops an individualized treatment approach for each client using alternative healing methods, hypnotherapy, and neuro-linguistic programming. 

Ms. West received her bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from Adelphi University and went on to earn a masters degree in Counseling and Education from Long Island University.  She is certified in hypnotherapy by the American Hypnosis Training Academy.  She holds a particular professional interest in the mind/body connection as it relates to attitudes and beliefs in the treatment of cancer patients.  It is her belief that people have the power to transform their life thru their thoughts, beliefs and actions.  By the Law of Attraction we draw to ourselves what we focus on to be true even if those “truths” no longer apply. 

In working with cancer patients for over 20 years, she has experienced people with a great prognosis die as a result of lack of belief in their own survival.  She has also experienced people, who according to statistics, should have died from metastasis and yet didn’t because they refused to believe they would.  Medical doctors recognize the power that the mind plays in healing and that the belief in a positive outcome contributes to the manifestation of that outcome. 

She has presented workshops on such topics as “Innovative Ways to Reduce Stress”, “Attitudes & Positive Thinking”, “Wellness”, “Alternate Healing Arts”, and the Law of Attraction.  Ms. West is a frequent speaker on local radio programs, as well as to business, academic, and community audiences.
